This short half-day trek is an ideal choice for families with small children, travelers who prefer a light walk rather than a long hike, or anyone with limited time. The journey takes place near the edge of the rainforest, where you may have the opportunity to see semi-wild orangutans and other wildlife along the way. If you’re lucky, you’ll witness mothers and their babies moving gracefully through the treetops. After enjoying fresh tropical fruits, end your adventure by relaxing as you tube back down the river.

Possibility to book it as a private trek if you’re 4 people or by paying the fare of 4 people. Be aware that some of our other guests might join your group if you do a normal booking (max 6)

ITINERARY

Your day begins with a fresh breakfast at the guesthouse. Our guide will pick you up between 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM based on your preference. The adventure starts with a scenic river cruise on a traditional boat, followed by a gentle trek through rubber plantations leading to Gunung Leuser National Park's entrance.

As you step into the dense jungle, you'll encounter Sumatra's true wilderness. With luck, you may witness Sumatran orangutans swinging through giant trees or tenderly caring for their young - a rare and unforgettable moment of connection with nature.

Recharge with fresh tropical fruits while listening to the forest symphony. Continue your exploration to spot other wildlife like Long-tailed Macaques, Pig-tailed Macaques, and agile Thomas Leaf Monkeys leaping through the canopy.

The adventure culminates with exciting whitewater tubing down the Bohorok River! Navigate through crystal-clear rapids for an adrenaline-pumping yet refreshing experience.

Your guide will escort you back to the guesthouse as the sun sets, leaving you with profound memories of Sumatra's wild heart. This isn't just a tour - it's a life-enriching experience.
