Explore Sumatra Orangutan is an ethical trekking agency and guesthouse founded in 2020 in Bukit Lawang, Sumatra. We work directly with local guides and communities to create authentic jungle experiences while actively protecting the rainforest and its wildlife. Our professional team is made up of experienced, English-speaking guides certified by the Indonesian Tourist Guides Association (ITGA–HPI). All treks strictly follow Gunung Leuser National Park regulations, ensuring safe, responsible, and respectful encounters with wildlife—especially the endangered Sumatran orangutans.
